Karl and Yann Todeschini are the 3rd generation to manage the family vineyards. Their grandfather originally started with a small plot in Saint-Emilion. He enlarged the vineyard over the years and extended to Castillon with the acquisition of Château Briand.
Karl and Yann have studied every aspect of wine business between them - winemaking, viticulture, marketing and commence. They have worked in Tuscany, Napa, Sonoma and Bordeaux and so were well prepared when they took over from their parents in 2008. Their education and experiences abroad, combined with their passion for all things wine, have enabled them evolve and modernise the viticultural and vinficiation processes at Chateâu Briand. They produce beautiful wines, full of character, modern and yet a true homage to their Bordelaise heritage.
